Study Visit to the Netherlands of the Georgian and Armenian Horticulture Companies (2025)

On behalf of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Georgia, TBSC Consulting organized an intensive, five-day study visit to the Netherlands in June 2025, bringing together a high-level delegation from the Georgian and Armenian horticulture sectors. The core objective was to expose these representatives to the Netherlands’ world-leading horticulture ecosystem—spanning greenhouse innovations, sustainable practices, and advanced post-harvest solutions—to address pressing sector challenges back home.

The project was meticulously prepared in the Preparatory Phase (April–May 2025), which involved a rigorous selection process for participants representing private agribusinesses and sector associations, and a comprehensive program design. Crucially, the visit’s timing was revised to coincide with the major international trade event, GreenTech Amsterdam.

The Implementation Phase (June 9–13) was packed with activities. Highlights included attending the GreenTech exhibition and site visits across the Westland region to key industry players and innovators such as KUBO Greenhouse Systems, Axia Seeds, Koppert Biological Systems, and Delphy Improvement Center. The visit also incorporated a reception hosted by the Embassy of Georgia in The Hague, to foster bilateral dialogue.

The final evaluation confirmed that the project exceeded its goals, resulting in most of the reporting participants meeting their professional expectations, improving technical knowledge, and establishing crucial business networking, notably leading to a reported plan for collaboration between the Georgian and Dutch partners.
