Climate Change Damage Data Availability for Climate Modeling in Georgia (2020)

GIZ helps the government of Georgia and other relevant stakeholders in Georgia to develop climate change modeling capacities and introduce climate change modeling into overall economic modeling. In this regard, GIZ wanted to understand the available data related to climate change for developing a new modelling practices in Georgia, in the context of overall economic modelling and policy planning. The task included conducting detailed overview of existing information on economic evaluation of climate-related damages and natural disasters in Georgia, by regions and types of causes. Through qualitative and quantitative research TBSC collected all available data, identified gaps in the needed data.
